E-volve Re-hosting & E-volve Upgrade 11.2 & 11.9
E-volve is the e-assessment platform at City & Guilds, managing over 40 million online assessments per year globally and accounting for nearly 60% of City & Guilds’ annual income. As the IT Project Manager, Cuesta Torres Consultancy was responsible for assessing business requirements, managing a team of 40, and collaborating with colleagues to provide accurate and timely progress and status reports to relevant internal stakeholders. They fostered strong working partnerships with suppliers, performed detailed budget forecasting, and tracked processes to ensure overall delivery within the allocated financial resources while effectively managing and prioritizing resources. This project, with a budget of £1.5M, was completed within 12 months using over 1,000 man-hours.
The success of the E-volve Re-hosting & E-volve Upgrade project in 2014 led to the selection to lead the E-volve Upgrade 11.9 in 2016. These two projects were the largest IT projects at City & Guilds in both years.
CityNet
City & Guilds had an intranet that was expensive, unreliable, and not accessible worldwide. As the IT Project Manager, it led a major internal IT transformation. They assessed business requirements, assembled a team of 15, and oversaw the design of a new network and infrastructure using SharePoint and Azure technologies. Cuesta Torres Consultancy managed third-party vendors and led the project through testing and implementation. The result was a worldwide intranet with robust disaster recovery capability and a converged data and telecoms network, saving £1M per year.
Project Team Leader
